Itinerary

  • Day 1: Your adventure kicks off with a descent down the renowned Grandview Trail, where you’ll be greeted with awe-inspiring views of this unique section of the Grand Canyon. Originally constructed by Pete Berry, one of the canyon’s legendary miners in the late 1800s, the trail showcases Berry’s masterful craftsmanship as it winds through rugged terrain for three miles. The trail ends at Horseshoe Mesa, home to the historic Last Chance Mine, where you’ll set up camp and explore the area’s rich history.
  • Day 2: The second day takes you on a stunning hike down to Cottonwood Creek, a hidden gem nestled deep within the canyon. This year-round water source is a true desert oasis, offering a refreshing contrast to the surrounding arid landscape. Here, you’ll have time to explore, relax by
    the water, and soak in the tranquility of this remote area. The day ends back at Horseshoe Mesa, where you can enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars.
  • Day 3: On the final day, you’ll retrace your steps up the Grandview Trail, ascending back to the South Rim. As you make your way up, you’ll take in the sweeping views one last time, reflecting on the unique and wild beauty of the places you’ve explored over the past three days. Your journey concludes at the Grandview Trailhead, leaving you with memories of an unforgettable adventure in the Grand Canyon.
